The Takedown Problem

We the OG YouTubers, are experiencing a cataclysmic challenge with a progressively terrifying trendline of events that has left many of us trembling in absolute fear. I am talking about the big problem: YouTube Takedowns. But truth be told, it's not all doom and gloom or anywhere near being the end of the YouTube method, simply a new evolutionary step that we already know how to overcome. Allow me to identify the primary cause for these 2023 takedowns and explain the simple remedy.

.

.

The Primary Problem

.

To put it simply, AI technology implemented by YouTube is the problem. Unlike the usual algorithm based system that we are used to, this AI has the capacity to watch your video and understand exactly what is happening in the video. This includes understanding the meaning of what you show and what role these elements play in the real world. For example if you were to show a table with random ingredients on it, the AI will recognize it and know all the possible use cases for these ingredients thanks to it's well developed machine learning history. It can also recognize your voice, your desk and your style of editing and this fact will be key to overcoming the majority of takedowns. YouTube has learned to become very familiar with content locking videos and their undesired consequences for the platform. They combine this visual/audio data with all other factors at their disposal such as channel upload patterns, sudden changes in channel ownership, how frequently do you login and use this YouTube channel. YouTube does in fact read your behavior and adds this data to the equation when judging what to do with your video. None of these factors alone cause a takedown, but when compared together it does indeed paint a clear picture that this is very likely a content locking video.

The Solutions

.

Here's the good news: We can avoid these issues. Let me tell you a quick short term strategy and then a long term remedy.

-

*please keep in mind none of these solutions are guaranteed to being the golden rule under every circumstance. All the usual ranking laws still apply and a red flag for something else can still override these solutions*

1. Upload a video or multiple (freshly made videos), wait 4 hours before spending any money on boosting them. By this point you will see which videos have been un-alived and which are still standing. The majority of videos that do survive four hours in are much less likely to be taken down later on. This is when you can start boosting the video with views & Microworkers. (yes this is tedious but you will save money and earn more in the long run)

2. In my personal experience, this helps: giving the channel a brandable name / identity matched with the video narrator harmonizing to this brand ("Yo what is up guys this is TorontoMike lets dive into this") It apparently helps for social proof / viewer retention but also for disputing a video removal. I would assume this makes YouTube trust your word a bit more because I've had videos brought back to life in niches never thought possible.

-

3. Using YouTube like a normal human would. I have seen powerful ranking improvements from using my content locking channel as an every day account, I had a paid YT subscription active for that account, watched many videos daily in related niches, would make comments and engage like a real human being would and it seems YouTube prefers this over quickly logging in and out to upload like a robot.

The Long Term Remedy: A Better Disguise

-

"The nail that sticks out gets hammered"

Ultimately the only thing we can do to completely avoid having our videos removed is to fully break away from the AI's gaze of destruction. I recommend you examine and study some of the most successful videos/channels on YouTube such as MrBeast. One unforeseen function of the AI's machine learning style is that it will process *unimportant* data such as sudden bright flashes, rapid color changes, number of faces, facial expressions, the frequency / pattern of events, editing animations and so on. If you make your video somewhat resemble these styles, YouTube AI will be more inclined to judge your video as an epic, popular piece of content. It will effectively help pull your video out of the high risk category and alleviate some risk potential. Machine learning is not to be taken lightly, it really does matter how YT feels about what it sees.

I'm going to touch more on this YouTube stuff in the following articles so stay tuned for that, hope you all find success performing the YouTube method because it is still incredibly profitable for the ballers that manage to evade takedowns.
